How We Can Help

Rabbi Moss and the Nefesh Team Offer:

  • Parsha Preparation: Connect with a private Bar Mitzvah teacher and enroll in our 8-Week Bar Mitzvah Booster Course (Term 2) at Nefesh to ensure your son is fully prepared.

Our Bar Mitzvah Package Includes:

  1. Bar Mitzvah Service Led by Rabbi Moss
    Celebrate this special day with a heartfelt service. If you’d like the congregation to shower the Bar Mitzvah boy with blessings (and soft, kosher lollies!), bring a couple of bags to Shul.

  2. Aliyot and Honours

    • At least three Aliyot (Torah call-ups) for family members, plus:
      • Lifting the Torah
      • Dressing the Torah
      • Opening the Ark
    • Additional Aliyot may be available based on the service.

  3. One-on-One with Rabbi Moss
    A personalised session to ensure your Bar Mitzvah boy feels confident and prepared.

  4. Rehearsal and Photo Shoot
    Capture the moment with a dedicated rehearsal and photo opportunity at Nefesh.

Celebrate with a Simcha Kiddush

Hosting a Kiddush is a beautiful way to celebrate your Bar Mitzvah.

Nefesh Catering

Let us take care of the details! A Nefesh-catered Kiddush includes:

  • Basic setup and cleanup
  • Water and paper goods

Using an External Caterer

  • Kiddush must be Parev only—no dairy—and supplied by a certified kosher caterer.
  • Cater for:
    • 100 people (Shabbos morning) or 20 people (Shabbos afternoon), plus your guests.
  • Deliver all items to the Shul the day before the event.
  • External catering incurs a $400 setup and cleanup fee, including paper goods and water.
  • We recommend hiring a kitchen helper for smooth operation—we can provide recommendations.
