Understanding the Sacrifice

i heard this story years ago, but was told a different meaning to the loss of the reighteous Moshe Levy's arm - that the message had been that your connection to Hashem is deeper than the mitzvot you do - I held this interpretation for years!

What he truly heard - that in that moment he forged a connection to Hashem, which saved his life, and that the tehillim protected them all - this story has circled around over many years. I heard it in a dorm room in America.

Moshe Levy, I am honored to feel in myself that he is the person I love and respect most in the world. In addition to being a hero, he is the personification of good on earth. It helps and has helped many people, including myself. He has mercy in the soul for those who suffer. His philosophy is unique because it is dictated by the heart. Impossible to equal it. It is wonderfully beautiful and instructive for the soul to hear him speak with his quiet and loving voice for, believe me anyone. I love you, indeed we love you. Reply
