Can You Interpret Dreams?

Do you dream interpretations? I have been told as a girl that to dream about losing your teeth is a bad sign. I have had a few times such dreams and when I wake up I feel worried. Is it true and do we have to take dreams seriously?

Answer:

You have nothing to worry about. I don't interpret dreams, but I can share with you what our sages say about it.

Indeed, the Talmud tells of the non-Jewish dream interpreter Bar Hedya, who told a rabbi that the dream of his teeth falling out means that his sons and daughters will die, and he will lose his appetite in his sorrow, and so not use his teeth.

What's the Hardest Part of Shabbos?

Question of the Week:

I am almost convinced to keep Shabbos properly this week in honour of the Shabbos Project. But I like to know what I am getting into. Can you tell me, what is the single most difficult thing about keeping Shabbos? I figure if I can handle the hardest part, I can do it all....

Answer:

I wouldn't call keeping Shabbos hard. It may be a shift, a change in routine, particularly for those who haven't done it before. But it doesn't have to be hard. If you are well prepared it will be a breeze.

A Blessing on my 40th

Dear Friend,

 

I am feeling very blessed and very touched today.
 

It was a huge surprise to arrive at shul for the regular morning service and find a crowd of people coming for my fortieth birthday breakfast!

 

Thank you to all those who organized it without me knowing, all those who came this morning, all those who sent their kind wishes, and all those who participated in the generous gift - a set of the Rebbe's teachings, Sichos Kodesh, which I have been eyeing for a long time, and the awesome honour of being called up as Chosson Torah on Simchas Torah.
