Why the Exact Moment of Exodus Matters

From Darkness to Light

The Torah does not tell us the exact times when many important events occurred. Nevertheless, we are told that Pharoah commanded the Jews to leave Egypt exactly at midnight on the 15th of Nissan. Further, the Torah narrates the exact moment they actually left: The next day, precisely at noon – not delaying even for the “blink of an eye”.

On the Wings of Eagles... When Israelis, generally the more secular ones, get the message of "on the wings of eagles," they can begin to realize that bold expression of bitachon would be to declare loudly that annexation of all territory and sovereignty of Har Habayit and building the Third Beis Hamikdash is what will end our exile once and for all. Judaism will have stopped apologizing for itself and will lead the world back to G-d as we are meant to. Reply

Galut Mitzrayim? Why is it called "Galut Mitzrayim"? Doesn't Galut refer to dispersion *from the Land* (e.g., I cannot cut a branch away from a tree unless that branch has first been connected to that tree)? If the Land had not even been possessed at that time why call the time in Mitzrayim prior to possessing the Land "Galut"?
